Junior high students will begin checking in Chromebooks and calculators this Thursday (5/16). Please make sure your student has all the required materials: Case, Charger, Chromebook, Calculator (if issued), and library books ready to return that day.

This week (May 6-10) is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please let our teachers know how much they are appreciated.
Students will begin turning in Chromebooks next week. Please make sure your child knows where their Chromebook, case, and charger are located.
May 22nd is scheduled for our dodgeball tournament in the junior high school gym. It is an early release day (1:30) so we will have sign-out sheets available if you choose to take your child home early.
May 23rd is our awards assembly in the auditorium. 8th grade will begin at 8:30. The 6th and 7th grade assembly will begin at 9:30. It is another early release day, so parents can sign their child out if they wish.

The 8th grade celebration has been rescheduled for May 23rd from 6-8 PM. We will still need parent volunteers to help. If you are interested, please coordinate with Shari Cabell.

Our 8th grade celebration is scheduled for May 20th from 6-8 PM. We will have bounce houses, food, and fun for all RJHS 8th grade students. We need parents to help with supervision, cleanup, and cooking hamburgers and hot dogs. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Shari Cabell.
Elementary Field Day is scheduled for May 16th or 20th (depending on the weather). Junior high students will not be able to attend this event unless they are accompanied by their parent. No phone calls will be accepted to sign out a student to attend.

Due to high school softball playoffs, this week's JH Softball game has been scheduled for tonight. There will be one game at Harts Bluff beginning at 4:30.

Dear parents: Today, at Rivercrest Junior High School, your child participated in a shelter in place drill. It is important for students to be prepared and not scared should a situation ever occur. Please talk to your child about the drill, and reinforce the importance of practicing. If this had been a real emergency, you would have received instructions on what needed to be done in order for all students to remain safe and secure. 6th grade parents: Our students should be returning to campus around 5:30 PM.
Due to the high volume of orders we have received, we need to end Valentine's Day orders by 3:30 tomorrow. This will ensure that all current orders are filled on time.

Due to the delayed start on Monday (11/22) there will be no early basketball practice for junior high school students.
RIVERCREST ISD WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY, JANUARY 29, 2024 FOR SCHEDULED STAFF DEVELOPMENT.

We will be collecting all electronics issued by the school next week (Chromebooks, calculators, chargers, etc.) Please help your student have their equipment gathered so we can collect it for inventory, cleaning, and repairs.
