Dear parents: Today, at Rivercrest Junior High School, your child participated in a n evacuation drill. It is important for students to be prepared and not scared should a situation ever occur. Please talk to your child about the drill, and reinforce the importance of practicing. If this had been a real emergency, you would have received instructions on what needed to be done in order for all students to remain safe and secure. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the office. Thank you for continuing to trust Rivercrest ISD with your students' safety and education.
HOSA is hosting this year's blood drive on Wednesday, October 2. We need a minimum of 50 donors.
So anyone that is willing to donate is welcome! If someone is donating for a senior, they need to be sure to mention the seniors name at donation in order for them to receive credit for the Red Cord program.
The blood donated is distributed to our local hospitals. We appreciate anyone willing to sign up to donate. Our next blood drive will be in January. Thank you for your willingness to help save lives!
CHROMEBOOK INSURANCE IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA -- MANY HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED FOR THIS YEAR , BUT IF YOU HAVEN'T THESE ARE THE FINAL DAYS!
Rivercrest ISD has optional device insurance available to pay for damages as a result of neglect. Based on the agreement that all students and parents signed prior to the issuance of the Chromebook or iPad, students and parents are responsible for all damage caused by neglect, abuse, or loss.

Three junior high volleyball games Vs. Maud tonight, beginning at 4:30. Go Lady Rebels!

Thursday morning, September 5th, the JH Volleyball team will take pictures in the gym, beginning at 7:30 AM.
That evening the 7th grade A team will play Clarksville beginning at 5:00 PM. The 8th grade game will follow immediately after.

Coach McClain will be hosting a meeting for junior high boy athletes (grades 7-8) tonight at 6:00 PM in the high school library.
RJH is rolling out a Rebel apparel fundraiser. It will run until 4pm next week, Friday, 8/16. All orders will be made online using the attached link.

Junior high students will begin checking in Chromebooks and calculators this Thursday (5/16). Please make sure your student has all the required materials: Case, Charger, Chromebook, Calculator (if issued), and library books ready to return that day.

This week (May 6-10) is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please let our teachers know how much they are appreciated.
Students will begin turning in Chromebooks next week. Please make sure your child knows where their Chromebook, case, and charger are located.
May 22nd is scheduled for our dodgeball tournament in the junior high school gym. It is an early release day (1:30) so we will have sign-out sheets available if you choose to take your child home early.
May 23rd is our awards assembly in the auditorium. 8th grade will begin at 8:30. The 6th and 7th grade assembly will begin at 9:30. It is another early release day, so parents can sign their child out if they wish.
