GT Referrals Being Accepted
Rivercrest ISD is accepting referrals for the Gifted and Talented Program now through October 31st. Students may be referred by teachers or parents. When considering a student for referral, please examine the following characteristics of gifted learners. They tend to be: out-of-the box thinkers, highly curious, able to elaborate on topics, only need one to two repetitions in order to master a concept, able to draw inferences, easily manipulate information, thrive in complexity and are keenly observant.
If you would like to refer your child, please pick up the referral form in the office of your child’s campus, complete the form and return it to the office. This information must be returned before testing and evaluation can take place.
Referrals for the GT program only take place once a year, so if you would like your child to be referred, please take this opportunity and complete and return the forms to the school by October 31, 2022.
