Has your household income been affected by COVID-19? If you have lost your job, or experienced a reduction in monthly income, you and your children may qualify for additional benefits from the state.
Beginning June 1st, households who qualify for free or reduced meal benefits through their school district will be eligible for a one-time payment per child enrolled in school. More information about this, including the link to apply, will be sent out once the district receives guidance from TDA. If you are currently receiving EBT benefits, the amount will automatically be added to your Lone Star card by May 22nd.
If your child is not currently on free or reduced meals but your household has experienced reduced, or loss of, income, you are encouraged to apply. Complete the free/reduced lunch application online. The deadline is June 30.
Rivercrest ISD understands that COVID-19 has affected many of our families, and we are here to help. As soon as we receive the information from TDA on how to apply for the additional benefits, we will send it to our families who have children on free or reduced meals.
