Agriculture Science Instructor

Rivercrest ISD- Bogata, Texas

Rivercrest is currently seeking an Agriculture Science instructor for the upcoming 2012 -2013 school year. We are at this time a 2a school district located in Northeast Texas with a high school enrollment of approximately 200 students.

We have a eight period day format and will maintain a two teacher department. Contract length will be 12 months.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors Degree with a valid teaching certificate in Agriculture Science
Recruit and increase involvement in FFA Chapter
Promote the FFA Chapter at the school and in the community
Manage FFA and Vocational Department budgets
Experience in teaching shop /shop safety( Ag Mech and Ag Power)
Experience w/ animal science,horticulture, wildlife ecology
Strong organization,communication and technology skills
Maintenance of records,entries, registrations,fund raisers and reports
Must have initiative to work before school, after school and on weekends to insure success for the student and the chapter
Supervise all off campus activities such as conventions, contests, workshops, field trips, etc. associated with vocational agriculture and the FFA program
