About Neva Oats

My name is Neva Oats.  I have taught at Rivercrest for 38 years. I received my BS and MS Degrees from East Texas State University in Elementary Education with a specialization in Music.

I teach Elementary Music and Elementary Gifted and Talented Classes.  I have been blessed with teaching in the same school district for 38 years; therefore, I am now teaching my third generation of students.  I look forward to coming to school everyday and enjoying the sound of children experiencing life through the world of music.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 39 years, Billy Ray.  We have two children.  Brandon is married to Marsha and they are teachers at Prairiland ISD.  Georjeana is married to Brad Nutt.  Georjeana is an occupational therapist in Paris and Brad is President of the Roxton Bank.  My grandchildren are the joy of my life.  Kaylee is a freshman at Prairiland, Brayden is in the first grade at Deport Elementary, Tyler is 4years old and Taylor Blaire is 1 years old.
