Grading
Policies 
Students grades in reading and English will be figured as follows:
Daily Work 50%
Tests 50%
Following the handbook, students will be allowed to make up work with no penalties for excused absences, however, unexcused absences will result in a thirty point penalty.
Each six weeks I will drop one daily grade, so if a student loses a paper or doesn’t do well on one, he or she will be ok.
I will accept late work as follows:
1st day late – minus 30 points
2nd day late – minus 50 points
After a student has not turned in an assignment for three days, the grade will remain a zero in the gradebook.
I will try my best to have grades on the computer for you to view within 48 hours. Please allow a couple of extra days for essays.
