About me...

Hello, everyone, and welcome to my page. This is my eighth year as Student Services Coordinator, and I love the job and the variety it provides. Prior to this position, I taught junior and senior English at Rivercrest High School. And before that, I taught English, reading, and speech at Bogata Junior High.
I am a proud graduate of Rivercrest High School where I played basketball, volleyball, and ran track; marched in the band and was a majorette; and belonged to such organizations as National Honor Society, Student Council, and Future Teachers of America. I even participated in One-Act Play one year as a dancing fairy. After high school, I attended Paris Junior College and Texas A&M Commerce where I received a Bachelor of Social Work degree. I worked in nursing homes before returning to college to earn my teaching certificate. After dealing with people who would seem to be polar opposites, I realize that we are the same, regardless of our age.
I have a wonderful husband, Morris, who is a pharmacist; two delightful daughters, Jill and Alison, both graduates of Texas A&M University; and one son-in-law Jeff. Jill is Physician Assistant who works for a group of cardiologists in Paris, TX; Jeff is an engineer ; and Alison, a CPA, lives in Fort Worth and works for Alcon Labs. I can't forget my two grand dogs: Ruby, an Australian shepherd and Willie, a French bulldog.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing golf, and painting. I feel fortunate to have worked all 26 years of my teaching career at Rivercrest ISD where we are blessed with great students, a knowledgeable and caring staff, and a wonderful facility. There's no place like home....
