In 1999 I began my teaching career at Rivercrest High School teaching Algebra 1; however, I have been employed by Rivercrest ISD since 1984. I was a teacher's aide with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math. In the fall of 1995, I took my first college class and then graduated in the same graduating class with my son, Andy, in May 1999. My daughter, Teri, graduated in May of 1998 so we were all three in college at the same time. I feel so fortunate to have been able to attend college and am living proof that you are never too old to learn new things. One of my favorite quotes is from Abraham Lincoln, "I do the very best I know how; the very best I can; and I mean to keep on doing so until the end."
My granddaughter, Cassidy Abigail Bowers, was born 9/17/09. I love being a grandma!
