Accelerated Reader (AR) . . .  *OPTIONAL*

Due the last day of each six weeks

  • AR is strictly extra credit for seniors.  
  • Your score will replace one test grade.  
  • I will calculate your score by averaging your AR points grade with your AR test grade.
  • Only one AR test per six weeks is allowed for extra credit.

POINTS

5 = 100

4 = 80

3 = 60

2 = 40

1 = 20

Scrapbooks . . .

Scrapbooks are due once per six weeks. They are due on the Wednesday of the last week of each six weeks. More information follows:

  • Minimum 5 entries per six weeks. An entry consists of a memento, along with a write-up.
  • Write-ups must be at least 100 words.
  • First six weeks you may include up to 3 entries about your summer.
  • Scrapbooks will not be accepted late. They should be a work-in-progress that you complete throughout the six weeks.
  • You will be given one class-day a week to work on scrapbooks.
  • Mementos are small keepsakes that serve as reminders of the event you write about. Examples are photos, receipts, menus, cards, invitations, tickets, programs, awards, song lyrics, etc.
  • Scrapbooks count as two test grades
